You just want to hide out and drown in your sorrows don't you? Some people suggest to stay strong and to simply move on. That is easier said than done and in all sincerity it isn't healthy to keep everything bottled up. My suggestion is to cry it out. Like any other grieving from a loss it takes time to accept the fact that you’ve lost someone you care about.
This part is said to be the most difficult but personally I think it’s the most fun. You get to sit at home in pyjamas for a few days watching classic movies, listening to Adele and then finally, doing self-reflection. Pure greatness.
Okay so first things first, you need to watch some sappy movies and listen to some heart felt tunes to let some of that sorrow out.
To Watch List To Listen List
The Notebook Adele- Don't You Remember
Dirty Dancing Keith Urban- Tonight I Wanna Cry
While You Were Sleeping JoJo- Marvin's Room
Ps. I Love You Beyonce- If I Were A Boy
Gone With The Wind Keyshia Cole- I Remember
A Walk To Remember Cherish- Unappreciated
The Last Song Mary J Blige- Not Gonna Cry
The Lucky One Whitney Houston- Why Does It Hurt So Bad
Dear John Taylor Swift- White Horse
Waiting To Exhale Christina Aguilera- You Lost Me
Once this is done you will hate your ex beyond belief and so watching more upbeat movies is probably the best thing to do before you turn into Carrie Underwood & carve your name in his car seat. I suggest you get some good laughs by watching John Tucker Must Die, The Devil Wears Prada,Whip It and The Hot Chick.
Once you have let out some of those feelings you need to sit down with a pen & paper and reflect. I want you to write a list of things you want in your life & things you don't, both in a relationship as well as for yourself. Set small and realistic goals for yourself & make sure you achieve them. Having a plan as to what you want helps you stay on the right track & not loose focus as to whats important to you.
